Kat Inokai brings 10 years of corporate freelance public relations, project management, media production services, and corporate brand strategy to Spin The Idea Ltd.

Kat’s educational experience extends to working with George Brown’s School of Design/Bruce Mau Design undertaking Institute without Boundaries, on the national Massive Change project.  Her student design film ‘Context’ was featured at the Design Exchange in Toronto. Kat completed her undergraduate work at the School of Design in Graphic Design and Communications, as well as graduate studies in Design Management. She started her first company Feline Promotions at age 17, following with her first corporate design undertaking Sans Serif Ltd. in 2001.

Since that time, Kat has contributed to and managed many different streams of creative contract; from event coordination and production, to marketing design and development. She focuses on providing fresh, unique, and interdisciplinary branding strategies applicable to any medium. Kat has worked with high-profile clients in both the private and public sector -  in film and television, publishing, and digital media. She has also provided creative direction, viability assessment and business management services for start-up creative entrepreneurs in Toronto, Vancouver, Halifax, and Las Vegas. Additionally she has managed a client roster of small-cap private companies for whom she has provided integrated consulting services, and brand development. Her clients, including Norvista Resource Corporation, Crossborder Realty, and Sue Sterling, have received extensive media coverage from BNN, CBC, CTV, The National Post, The Globe and Mail, Maclean's Magazine, Vines Magazine, and Wallpaper Magazine among others.

Kat has been involved with Accilent Capital Management Inc. since 2007. As Director of Brand and Communications for the team, Kat is involved in every phase of Accilent’s client-centred projects, from concept development through to final execution, including the creation of corporate policy and client-facing operative procedures. She has designed and developed Accilent Capital as a core brand, as well as each of its funds including Wine Investment Fund Canada, Pavilion Resource Fund, and Panurban 112°W. She continues to produce collateral positioning solutions, brand alignment, development, and application strategies, for financial products and services and their successful market integration.

Kat has been a panel-speaker for Digital Eve Toronto, and has been a Guest Lecturer for Dalhousie University, as well as for both undergrad and graduate classes at George Brown, The School of Design in Toronto. Most recently Kat made an appearance on Toronto's CityPulse 24, during an interview regarding Accilent's Wine Investment Fund Canada.
